Occultics ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website occultics.ai and the Occultics Match mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, date of birth, time of birth (optional), gender, profile photo, profile video, and bio. We also collect your Pythagorean Code, which is calculated from your date of birth.
When you use Occultics Match, we collect information about your interactions with other users, including likes, passes, messages, and compatibility matches.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you access our services, including device type, operating system, and general usage data through analytics tools.
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain our services, calculate your Pythagorean Code and compatibility scores with other users, facilitate matches and messaging between users, send you notifications about new matches and messages, process payments through our payment provider (Stripe), deliver purchased reports and sessions, and improve and develop our services.
Your profile information (name, photo, video, bio, Pythagorean Code, and compatibility scores) is visible to other Occultics Match users. Your messages are only visible to you and the recipient.
We share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our services, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI-generated content), ElevenLabs (audio generation), and Cloudflare (hosting and security).
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers.
Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
You can access and update your profile information at any time through the Occultics Match app or website. You can delete your account and all associated data through the Settings screen in the app. Upon account deletion, your profile, matches, messages, photos, and videos are permanently removed.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information remains protected.
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience and analyze site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our mobile app does not use cookies.
